Children are welcomed and join us in worship each Sunday before meeting their religious education leaders for special classes.
From Sunday to Sunday, the theme of the service can vary greatly. Please come join us.
September 5 – “OUR GOOD NEWS!”—Christine Robinson (recording). Come hear a pre-recorded sermon by the Rev. Christine Robinson, of the First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque. Christine will explore the good news of her “Evangelical Unitarian Universalism.” What is different about the UU message, history, and mission? You may be surprised.
September 12—WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?—Ken Phifer. In these early years of the 21st century, with the manifold challenges that have been set before us, we need from time to time to pause and reflect on where we are headed. What is our purpose? What is our mission? What do we want from life? What are we trying to create? What kind of society do we want? What kind of congregation do we want? My sermon will try to suggest some possible directions for all of us. Join us for our Celebration of Life.
September 19—TO WALK TOGETHER—Cassie Howe. As a Unitarian Universalist congregation, we are bound together not by doctrine or creed, but by covenant. Covenant literally means to “come together” and early ancestors to our covenantal polity described it as walking together. As we start this year as a church community, let us begin by simply asking: what is most fundamental to our being together?
